on to new things

we have had so much fun lately with brian working from home a little bit so i have (as you can see) taken full advantage of daddy time with the kids. i didn't think it was going to be too difficult going to the park with an infant and presley until i realized how hard it is to get pres to leave the park with out some sort of bribery/ assistance from a friend. thank you babe for coming to the park with us and helping me pull pres off the monkey bars. i never could have done it without you!
did i ever think presley would swing on the big kids swing, want to hang from the monkey bars or even touch a lobster and not be scared? of course! did i think it would happen before she turned 2? NO!
my baby girl is becoming such a big kid so fast i just want her to slow down so i can enjoy her at this age. she is so fearless with any thing she tries ~ she is definitely brian's little girl:)

Davis is starting new things as well: rice cereal and oatmeal are his new favorite dinners. yea! i was worried that we were starting to feed him too early (4 1/2 months) but when your kid is following food from your hand into your mouth well, it's just time.

not only is he eating he is also sitting up so much better now. i don't think he will roll over anytime soon but the dr says that's a weight thing not a milestone thing (as in he  is too fat to get his fat michelin tire leg over the next:) ha ha ha

hope you enjoy the new pics as much as we have. i love watching everyone grow and do new things. i love being able to stay home and watch them change every day. i feel so blessed!

covey time

a long, long time ago my camera use to be filled with pictures of my dogs and brian. especially ones with me and brian. now it seems that time is no more. our camera is only filled with pics of presley and davis. as much as i love capturing their moments i miss the photos of brian and i. one day we are going to look back and remember every moment of each photo and then look at one of us and say "dang, why do we look so old all of a sudden". so, for that not to happen here is one of brian and davis. not sure what is going on with brian's hair but it is a captured moment that i won't forget: davis in daddy's arms- NOT CRYING!:)

everyone loves to go shopping

here we are at the wiregrass mall in tampa. i love this mall b/c it is outdoors and in sunny florida that always mean we will have a good time. even davis enjoyed himself at the outside mall. i don't know what it is about pics of people when they are turned around but i just love them. brian and presley walking hand in hand down the sidewalk is so cute i just love it:)

some of my favorite people

papa and little man chillin on the sofa. how cute are they? just had to capture one of the precious moments that davis isn't crying or nursing. it's such a joy to see him in someone else's arms.
i can't wait until he gets some more hair and i can spike it up like brian's. then they will really be two peas in  a pod.

here is presley eating lunch  the other day in her "terminator" sunglasses. don't ask why she is still in pajamas and it's lunch time. let's just say having 2 kids is a little bit more overwhelming than i had planned. anyway, she is too cool for her own good. i know she will look back on this photo and be like " mom, why were you taking pictures of me eating. that's so lame."

her favorite purse

kissing daddy goodbye with purse in hand.
"bye, daddy see you later. love you. "
i love when she says this every time one of us leaves. even if we are just leaving the room for a moment. ha ha ha
ready to conquer the world with her pink purse in hand. even though i end up carrying it once we get half way around the block- along with her juice, davis, a blanket and my cell phone (just in case we run into trouble on the walk) i still don't mind.

snapshots

i was so glad to find my awesome camera (sony cyber-shot) in my purse when i saw this. first the fact that brian is even letting her eat in the tahoe is a miracle and then just watching her eat dip n dots (for the 1st time) with out spilling them anywhere was amazing! she balanced them so carefully on her animal book so as not to drop her cup. i know it felt good on her mouth since she was just getting over her virus that had blisters all in her mouth.

presley helping davis in his bouncy seat. she does a great job of helping me keep him some what entertained while in there. it only lasts for a few minutes but at least my arms get a little break from holding him.

i know he looks content in his bumbo but it's just a facade. he really hates it. the worst is when you try to get him out and his fat thighs get stuck. poor dman.

last but not least, brian and davis hanging out in the kitchen. deep down in know they love each other even though davis only lets me really hold him all day. thank goodness brian keeps trying each day to win him over and give me a break. keep trying babe, keep trying:)

be funky

i love these pics of presley and i love them more after turning them into sketches on befunky.com
my little girl is getting so big. she is making sentences and saying things that i thought i was the only one who understood her but others know what she is saying now too. i love that she is not even 2 and she knows her shapes, numbers and some letters. i love when she sees an armadillo outside and screams "armadillo- mommy scared of armadillo". even though i'm not really scared unless she gets right next to one and they don't move and then well, i guess i do get a little scared.
anyway, my point is that i can't believe she is getting so big so fast. other moms tell me it just keeps going by faster and faster. i want to be able to always to remember her like this and how sweet  she can be.
last night we were sitting at the kitchen table eating dinner and she asked for more skibits. brian and i just sort of looked at each other like what is that? turns out that she wanted more biscuits. i know that's probably only cute to me but it was so adorable it made us laugh so hard. alright, hope you enjoy the black and white photos as much as i do. more photos to come as soon as i can find my camera cord.
