her favorite purse

Presley and her favorite new toy!

I was just wanting to share one of the funniest things that happened this week. Presley found her a purse. Now, you must understand that she has had this purse for months. It came with lipstick, keys, wallet, credit card and hair brush so i am not really sure why she decided that she could no longer leave the house with out it. Here we are on one of many walks where the pink purse could no longer be left behind.

i love when she says this every time one of us leaves. even if we are just leaving the room for a moment. ha ha ha

ready to conquer the world with her pink purse in hand. even though i end up carrying it once we get half way around the block- along with her juice, davis, a blanket and my cell phone (just in case we run into trouble on the walk) i still don't mind.

my little girl is getting so big. she is making sentences and saying things that i thought i was the only one who understood her but others know what she is saying now too. i love that she is not even 2 and she knows her shapes, numbers and some letters. i love when she sees an armadillo outside and screams "armadillo- mommy scared of armadillo". even though i'm not really scared unless she gets right next to one and they don't move and then well, i guess i do get a little scared. 

anyway, my point is that i can't believe she is getting so big so fast. other moms tell me it just keeps going by faster and faster. i want to be able to always to remember her like this and how sweet  she can be. 

last night we were sitting at the kitchen table eating dinner and she asked for more skibits. brian and i just sort of looked at each other like what is that? turns out that she wanted more biscuits. i know that's probably only cute to me but it was so adorable it made us laugh so hard. alright, hope you enjoy the black and white photos as much as i do. more photos to come as soon as i can find my camera cord.

the zoo- i love rebekah

here we are at the zoo the other day. we had so much fun! it was my first big outing with the baby and presley without brian by my side. i was soooo nervous! i kept thinking of all the things that could happen: what if presley ran off and i couldn't keep up with her and the baby?, what if this and what if that. well, all that worrying and it turned out to be a great day. my friend tara and her mom and the kids went with us ( i dare not go completely by myself) and she was there to talk me off the ledge if something were to happen. she also said if presley ran off that she would leave her son and chase after her no matter what so that put my mind at ease also. i don't think i have ever let presley out of the stroller but she did really well. here she is at the meerkats. loves the meerkats~ she stood in front of this window forever. i can't wait to take brian back with me one day so he can see how much she loves it there too!

the little baker

our first big baking experience. she obviously loves to lick the spoon (don't we all) and well who can blame her. i wasn't sure if she could get the whole thing in her mouth but she proved me wrong. 

while we were baking we skyped with mimi and aunt bekah. i wish they could have been here to help and of course try the cupcakes once we were done.  i love her in her dinosaur apron. it even has her name on it. too freakin cute!

the next time i go to the store i need to remember to buy a plastic measuring cup so we don't have any glass breaking episodes. it makes me a little nervous watching her pour liquids into the bowl with the glass one. i love baking with pres~ and watching her face light up when she gets to help is always worth all the mess.
