Sweet Moments

You would have thought my kids had never seen chickens before. We may have spent half the day looking at these birds.

Quick, mom's not looking let's jump the gate. Seriously, they were so excited about going on the hay ride they did try and jump the gate. It was fun watching them try though.

Sweetest kid ever. Love D's kisses!!

This is one of the last pictures of davis with his "baby" hair. Now he has such a big boy hair cut and he looks like he is so much older. Kind of makes me sad but it was time. Not to mention he loves his dinosaur costume. He runs around chasing Presley yelling "ROAR" at top of his lungs. Hysterical!!!!

Fall Fun with the Family

Last weekend we were able to head over "literally across the street" to Gentry Farms. It's so hard to believe that we live so close to such an amazing place and don't go there more often. Here are a few snap shots of our day on the farm, riding the tire swing, having fun and gathering pumpkins.

HOLD ON FOR DEAR LIFE!! PRESLEY IS DRIVING!!!

Just wanted to post a picture of presley going to mdo one day. She picks out her clothes now and this is one of the days where she matched:)!!! Had to get that on film!

My kids.

Some more pictures from my new camera that i love. It's my new hobby. (after scrapbooking, sewing, baking and facebook:) I love this one of Davis running through the puddles by a friend's house. Capturing this moment was special because he was so happy i let him get soaked.

We live in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods ever! The trees are turning colors and it makes for the most beautiful background. I love the way Davis is looking at Presley thinking "i wonder if she is going to let me jump in the puddle too?"

It was almost sunset when i took this picture of Davis walking in his rain boots. I am still learning how to play with exposure and lighting. However, i love the way this looks.

I wonder what he is thinking?

My New Camera.

I absolutely love having pictures of my kids around!
However, i am not loving how expensive having a photographer come a few times a year costs. So, i took matters into my own hands. I bought a camera. A good one. Here are a few of my first tries at amateur photography.

Our trip to Memphis

Brian had an alumni soccer game in memphis a few weeks ago and we were fortunate enough to be able to bring the kids so they could watch him play. Aside from chasing davis to keep him off the field, sweating profusely and preventing dehydration it was a great time! Brian didn't get scored on which is always a plus too:)

While we were in Memphis we also headed to the zoo. Presley and Davis had the best time seeing all of the animals. It was hot there as well but everyone was a trooper and they had a great time. Here is Presley looking at the hippos- they look very different in real life vs her animal books.
Davis being a gangsta. That's just how he rolls:)
This is Presley running her first 1k! She was so cute and it benefited a great cause. She got to go with her dad and run it (well, using run loosely b/c every time she saw a police car, the race mascot or some one she knew she would stop to talk). We had a great time and listened to great music- love her being so happy at her first race:)!

the happiest family on earth goes to florida!

The Covey's in Florida!!!!
We had the best time visiting my parents and showing Presley and Davis the beach! Brian and I love the beach and miss living in florida (sometimes). A week in san destin can really make a girl want to move back. Here are some fun pictures of us there:

This is Brian telling Presley about the waves. Trying to explain to a 3 year old that she can't swim all of the way out into the ocean was quite a task. We kept her next to us as much as possible but her favorite thing to do was "ride" the waves with her dad.

Presley and I had the most fun making sand castles (not shown b/c as soon as we got one up Davis tore it down). This is one of those moments where having kids is so worth it b/c it is so much fun to take them some where new and watch them figure out the sand, waves, castles and the ocean.

I knew that we had a pretty fearless kid already but i wasn't prepared for my little angel baby to want to jump on the trampoline of death. She loved it! If it wasn't 12$ each ride she would have done it over and over and over again. No Fear.

When i see this picture I think Top Gun, because this is the only kid who can pull of his daddy's cool shades and look this charming:) Thank you God for this little boy- I love you D!

dancing diva:)

I have no idea why i keep posting pictures and they are always in opposite order but here ya go:

presley had her first dance recital on friday!!! she did a great job. you never know what's going to happen with a 3 year old but i was pleasantly surprised:) my little dancing diva is such a cutie. i am so proud of her!!!

her reward for doing such a great job...... a dora popsicle!
here she is with her dance class. she is the youngest one in her class. it took FOREVER to get her hair to stick in a bun and i think she still has sparkles in her hair from that night. a little disorganized but like i said, she's 3.
that smile is what melts my heart every day. it's what gets her out of trouble. it's what makes every thing worth it.
second from the back is my red head. all lined up and ready to get out to strut their moves!
this was taken on her last day of dance class. bitter sweet but she had a fun day. they had snacks and played games. can't wait for dance to start up in the fall!!!!

cutest kids ever!!

i love when i finally get pictures downloaded and i am able to share them on here. i love when i have forgotten which photos i have taken i when i go to look for some to put on here i find ones like these. i have the cutest kids that are a little crazy some times but totally make up for it when the adorable faces:)
here is presley stealing my sunglasses and giving one of her million dollar smirks!

a few snacks before dance class and a chance to get this amazing tutu on camera! i love when she twirls and shows off her dance moves. please don't take notice of of her little brother trying to escape out the cat door:)
look at that smile!!! a few weeks ago it was warm enough to go outside and put on the swimsuits. how did i not realize how pale my son was/is?? poor kid is so cute and he totally doesn't care he is white as a ghost. at least he is enjoying his play house and ringing the door bell 50 times:)
i don't know what to say about this outfit except that some one gave it to presley for her birthday and well, it was sprinkling outside and that called for the rain boots. it's difficult to get them off her once they are on but at least they match the princess dress.
how cute can he get!!??!! rolling with his sisters shades and his duck helmet, ready to go for a ride with his dad on the bike. of course he is wearing his i heart mom shirt! best piece of clothing ever!!!

Happy Easter!!!

Here we are at our neighborhood easter egg hunt! AND we are all looking at or close to the camera at the same time! obviously having two little ones that can't sit still limits our family photo opportunities. we had such a great day and the weather was perfect. presley got so many eggs and she and davis had a ton of fun.
Davis spent the time at the egg hunt carrying around this egg for his sister. He would put it in her basket and then take it out and walk around with it. So cute!!!
Presley and Davis picking up their eggs. What a team:)

Of course i had to get a shot of presley and her easter basket that her mimi got her. she loves it and it is the perfect size. not too much candy but just enough fits. still not sure how she got 50 eggs from the hunt in there but the girl has skillz!!! (i put the z in there for my memphis peeps:)

does anyone look like me??

i use to think my children looked like me when i was little. now, i just think they look like each other. yes, a perfect mix between brian and i but i have to say i am a little sad that neither looked more like me. i found an old picture my mom sent to me of when i was a baby so, instead of having lots of time to download new pictures i thought i would throw a shout out to old school photos of us. enjoy.

why is it that my picture looks like it was taken in the 1800's??? makes me feel old.
