here comes trouble

i am going to try and remember exactly how it happened. 

today we went to gymboree and presley was walking around with me holding onto only one hand. which is a pretty big step for her- she wasn't doing that last week. also, she has been standing more on her own lately as well.

 so, tonight we were upstairs in the playroom and i was sitting on the couch and pres kept trying to come over to me to get the remote, phone (whatever she isn't allowed to have) and i kept putting her back on the other side of the room with her toys. the girl seriously has more toys than jon and kate plus 8. 

finally, she won and i picked her up and took her to the middle of the room - stood her next to my leg (where she stood very well) and i thought- i wonder if she would come to me this time if i put my arms out. HOLY SHIT! she did. she took her first 3 steps ever. i swooped her up in my arms and ran downstairs to wake up brian (who has been asleep since 8) michele came over to see her go- pres didn't do it quite as well but she was very close. proud mama i am i called everyone i knew- of course no one answered their phones. tomorrow she will be on youtube and be sent to everyone i know- watch out world. here comes trouble!

why does my mother seem to think that she is the only one who wants a chic fil a sandwich on sunday? after church none the less- so, no mom that is not the same. 

i will no longer crave chic fil a sandwiches now- i will step out on my own and crave moe's john coctostan. yummmmm.

they are not closed on sunday's- so there.

busch gardens

miles of endless shops, roller coasters and animals to look at. today we set out to enjoy busch gardens with our new friend lisa and her son jake. (who is 2 weeks younger than presley and already walking- but i'm not bitter) whatever. 

great day for being outside- beautiful weather. another day in sunny florida. i feel so bad for everyone in the cold and dreary north who is passing around the flu (no liz- i did not get the flu shot. neither did brian or presley- give it a rest) and shoveling snow and can't go to the park with their kids every day. what do mom's do all day when they can't get out of the house with the kids? grrrr.  that makes for a mean mommy.

does everyone know that on tuesday's at chic fil a if you buy a combo that you get a child's meal for free? so pres and i snacked on chicken nuggets and waffle fries for dinner. yummm. why do i always want to go there on sunday when they are closed? what's up with that? the best is their ice cream cones! my fav. thanks michele for making it out in the rain with us. we had a great time and really enjoyed the company! 

furry babies

this is allie (6), jackson and riley (4). they were my first kids. allie had a litter of 10 four years ago on july 4th. they love their new sister- not so much allie- but definitely the other two. she can crawl all over them, pull on their ears and they don't care. during the day they sleep on the couch with me and when my husband comes home they dare not go near it- dogs are so smart. we go for walks almost every day- i love them to death but could do without the shedding and especially the farting. :( 

my furry babies are so sweet. jackman follows me from room to room and allie is a big daddy's girl. where ever he goes when he is home she follows or curls up in his lap on the floor. she won't even come to me if he is with her. bitch. riley (fatty) is the middle child- we can take her anywhere and she will behave. just like my sister rebekah- she is definitely the well behaved one out of the bunch. sorry to compare you to the dog bek. love ya.

my angel!

this is my precious baby. her name is presley. cool name- i know. don't steal it- just figure out a new one for yourself. just kidding. (sort of but not really)

she is 10 months old and the sweetest thing ever! her laugh will make your heart melt- when she hears music she loves to dance and will stop whatever she is doing to watch her dogs run around. on the go all the time, i can barely keep up. having the best grandparents ever- she is totally spoiled and wants for nothing. i love her so much and enjoy every day! my precious baby is growing so fast. 

car rides are from hell

why is it that everytime you get into a car with a baby they become holy terrors? i thought babies were suppose to enjoy car rides. are they not suppose to fall asleep in the car because of the vibration and soothing feeling of the car moving??? then why is it that every time my daughter gets in the car- after she has been fed, has a clean diaper and even a dvd player playing baby crack (aka baby einstein) she throws a fit until we get to our destination. 

other moms tell me that is the only way to get their babies to sleep sometimes is by going on a car ride. is my child defective? not to mention the fact that once we arrive wherever we are going if someone doesn't take notice of her she looks at them like they are crazy. as if she thinks- don't they see how cute and adorable i am? don't they know it took mom 20 minutes just to get me to keep my socks on before we left the house- don't you know how i squawked when mom tried to put my hair up in a pony tail? what is wrong with you? 

flash ahead 10 years later when the kids are all at school: " don't pay any attention to that girl- she is an attention whore. "
