the guests have left the building

everyone is gone now and i am a bit sad. i love when we have company. especially the helpful kind. i love my cousin lisa, she is sooo sweet for coming to visit all the way from cincinnati. the 1 year fiesta would not have been the same without the world famous chicken cups. yummmm. the cotton candy and snow cones were pretty cool too.

          we had the best time at disney on sunday. even though lisa and my dad let presley fall in the mulch while i was in the bathroom and then got all of the dirt off her before i came out- we still had a great time. although i am never eating i n france again. did i mention that presley said pa paw before she said grandma. i personally think it is just easier for her to say. i don't think grandma thinks that though.

monday we went to see the pediatrician to get our one year shots. yes, my angel is finally a year old. where did the time go? well, i am not one of those mothers who forget. i still remember every sleepless night and every day going out and her screaming in the car even though she was clean and had been fed. 

anyway, no shots came b/c of yet another ear infection. in the left ear again!! the dr. said if she was still getting them after she was two that she would have tubes put in her ears like her mother. i hope and pray that my child wakes up today as her old self and she feels much better. 24 hrs of antibiotics are in her system now. it is 9 and she is still asleep. 

everyone is here and accounted for

the family has arrived and we are already out and about in sunny florida. today we are in haines city visiting presley's great- grandmother. they are out getting some lunch , presley is finally taking her nap and i am trying to but not able to as i am starving and waiting for them to bring me lunch back. zoe came with the parents and she is not enjoying any of this. she won't even come and sit on the couch with me- she is just laying by the front door staring at it- waiting for her best friend to come back.

tomorrow night is bingo and i haven't told brian he is going to babysit yet but i am really excited about it!! oh yea- they are home with my food ! g2g

sick baby:(

my baby girl is sick today. i am so sad- she has a snotty nose that is no match for the bulb suction. now she has added a little cough to her illness. if there is no improvement we will call the doctor tomorrow. i feel so bad. every time we go to church or hang with friends at gymboree- presley gets a cold. 

i know this is part of having kids i just feel bad for my baby girl. she doesn't know why she doesn't feel good or why she is sneezing so much. she has gotten better about getting her nose wiped. she doesn't touch it with her hands if she sees me coming with the kleenex. 

the only thing we are doing today is going to the grocery store. which isn't really that much fun but at least we are getting out of the house. 

today's schedule

the fam comes in 5 days. oh my there is so much to do. presley's bday party is in 8 days. don't even get me started on how behind i am with that one. i wish my sister would come to tampa and surprise me for the birthday. that would make me sooo happy. 

today we are going to the park to play with the triplets and then going shopping this afternoon for some maternity clothes for me (yes, i can no longer fit into most of my pants) and a birthday outfit for pmeister. what an exciting day. tonight brian k. is coming over for dinner so presley won't be so scared when she sees him at church this weekend. how embarrassing is that- your friend stops by to say hi to your kid and she literally starting shaking and crying. i didn't know she could do that- i have never seen  that before. anyway, i hear her waking up finally- off to the park!!

rock star

is this not the cutest picture ever! presley will wear her sunglasses for about 9 seconds and then they are flying across the room but dang- she is so stinkin cute when she wears them. not to mention her camo pants. we were off today to gymboree to show all the other toddlers just how walking and climbing are done. two new words were introduced too! presley said clean and goodbye. did i mention they were in the appropriate situations? i am currently looking over photos to put in her scrapbook and cannot believe how much kids grow in such a short amount of time. it is truly amazing. 

next week the grandparents come down for the birthday party that i only invited 8 people to but now it has turned out to be quite the shin dig. i think the last count was around 30. Lord, please let it be sunny so that everyone will be in the pool and not inside tearing things up and staring at each other.

4 ladies lunching

i had so much fun today. if i recall- this is the first time since my daughter was born that i went out with just the ladies for lunch. thank you girls for making it such a great time. it was  so nice to be able to eat lunch with 3 other women and talk. not trash talk or gossip- but talk. i found out so many new things about my friends- tracey- you are so funny, lori- you have it together way more than you think and lesley- i love getting to know you more. 

so, my husband also had a great day- he got to do a ton of chores around the house in anticipation of my parents coming for presley's birthday party. now it is 8 p.m. and he is about to go to bed. my hard working man! i am going to try to talk him into watching our new netflix movie- it's such a chick flick. shhhh. lol.
