Look who's playing soccer!!

Not sure who was more excited that Presley started playing soccer in the fall with WCSA- she or brian. They went together and got her first shin guards (pink of course), soccer ball (also pink), socks, cleats (which also have pink)... everything. They spent weeks kicking the ball around outside before the season practice even started. I love this smile on her face on her first game day- she was ready to score!!!

It was a pretty good season. We made some new friends, learned what a hat trick was (not trick hat- don't say trick hat to brian- he just looks at you like you're stupid fyi), got a few bruises and had a lot of fun! I asked presley what her favorite part about soccer was and she said "winning"... she is so brian's kid:)

What happened to 2011?

The other day i realized i had not updated our family blog since last May. So here are a few pictures of us (with much more to come) in 2011. It was a great year and we are so happy we were able to share so many moments with our family and friends. This is a picture of Brian and I in Rosemary. We are so smiley because we absolutely love it there.... wonder when we can get back... hmmm....

We had so much fun playing in the sand, swimming in mimi's pool and chasing sand crabs at night.
Davis learned how to ride a bike in 2011. We love watching his face light up every time he gets on his spider man bike- it's one of his favorite things!

Good Times!!!

Family Fun!!!
(how creepy does mr potato's heads eyes look?!)
davis loved the new toy story ride... almost as much as brian:)

A few of our favorite characters

Thought i would share some of the adorable characters at Hollywood Studios. Lightning Mcqueen scared the crap out of Davis and Presley kept covering her ears because the rev his engine up when you get close. I'm not sure how we got a semi-cute picture of us there but here it is.

Of course, nothing is better than two kids who are so happy to be somewhere that they are sweet to each other and were giving hugs and kisses constantly:). Move over Cinderella, the Covey's are moving in!!

BUZZ.LIGHT.YEAR.

Of course Davis' favorite part of the Disney trip was anything related to buzz light year. The way he acted when he saw buzz for the first time was incredible. Every buzz light year was so nice and great with the kids. I think Davis had dreams about meeting buzz, woody, mr potato head and zurg for the next few months after this trip. :)

Priceless!!!

Priceless would be this look on her face when she realizes ALL of the princesses were coming out to meet her! This part of being a parent is definitely one of my favorite parts. She was so happy and loved every minute!

The Making of a Princess!

We went to Disney World at the end of December and it truly is the most magical place. We had the best time seeing family and old friends from Tampa. I think Presley's favorite part though was her being able to go to the bippity boppity boo boutique in Cinderella's castle. Here are a few pictures of a fairy godmother turning Presley into a real princess:)

Davis loves the snow!

Thank goodness we have our own sleds this year. (never owned one living in memphis) The Dman loves his sled and thankfully he's so light we can pull him around almost anywhere:)

Of course, Brian taught him how to throw snowballs at the girls:)

Christmas 2010!!!

Here are just a few pictures of the kids at christmas this year. I love how Presley is finally at an age where she understands christmas and its meaning more. Of course she loved getting presents also. She was especially helpful when it was Davis' turn to open a gift. What a good big sister:)

It was a Toy Story christmas for Davis. He spent a good 20 minutes just putting his finger in the box to push buzz lightyears laser button before he would let us open the box.
Presley had a princess christmas. This was her favorite dress she got. Sleeping Beauty/ Princess Aurora/ Briar Rose dress.

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

our first snow of winter 2010

We had our first snow in December and it was sooo much fun to see the kids get out in it and make snowballs and run around.
Although they were so bundled up they didn't really have an easy time getting around. ha ha
