playing catch up

i hope you are enjoying catching up on our latest photos. i have so many now a days of presley and davis it's almost difficult which ones to put up on here. as a true mom, i think every one of them should be up but unfortunately the blog site only gives me so many for each entry. (a man probably made it) anyway, here is davis sitting up like such a big boy. of course his sister is swooping in to either give him a kiss or knock him

over. you just never know.

i never thought i would have the kid that became covered in markers all over their skin and clothes but that just shows you how inexperienced i am at being a mom of a toddler.  she showed me. by the way, is it just me or does she look a little like hitler with the blue on under her nose?


presley loves to ham it up now when the camera comes out. i don't know where she learned to close her eyes and throw her head back but she has it down to a science. her favorite~ photobooth on my mac. she even counts down for when the picture gets taken.

my little man fast asleep in his pimped out ride (car seat) while his big sister and daddy ride on the carousel. can i also ask why is it so dang expensive to ride the carousel now anyway? they  put it in the middle of the food court next to where the kids play area is and they know if your kid sees it they are going to want to ride it. so why is it 5$ for just 2 rides? am i that cheap? they should do like busch gardens and you can pay for a day and come back all year. that would be awesome!!

the zoo- i love rebekah

here we are at the zoo the other day. we had so much fun! it was my first big outing with the baby and presley without brian by my side. i was soooo nervous! i kept thinking of all the things that could happen: what if presley ran off and i couldn't keep up with her and the baby?, what if this and what if that. well, all that worrying and it turned out to be a great day. my friend tara and her mom and the kids went with us ( i dare not go completely by myself) and she was there to talk me off the ledge if something were to happen. she also said if presley ran off that she would leave her son and chase after her no matter what so that put my mind at ease also. i don't think i have ever let presley out of the stroller but she did really well. here she is at the meerkats. loves the meerkats~ she stood in front of this window forever. i can't wait to take brian back with me one day so he can see how much she loves it there too!

ode to davis

i thought it would only be fair to dedicate a day of pics to my little man since so many of my other entries are consumed with pdog. 

my little guy is snoozing away in his swing while wearing his alligator shirt. i am not sure what people did before swings but i bet it wasn't very much.

here we are at church, hanging out in the foyer. he was being so good and quiet and still for just a minute that i was happy to capture that moment of film. he is looking at presley running in circles around him and probably thinking "why won't she ever sit down?"  ha ha

on our walk in the baby bjorn (God's gift to mom's and dad's backs) and a ever so sweet pic of davis after he had his milk. gotta love the oxytocin milk coma. too cute!!

the little baker

our first big baking experience. she obviously loves to lick the spoon (don't we all) and well who can blame her. i wasn't sure if she could get the whole thing in her mouth but she proved me wrong. 

while we were baking we skyped with mimi and aunt bekah. i wish they could have been here to help and of course try the cupcakes once we were done.  i love her in her dinosaur apron. it even has her name on it. too freakin cute!

the next time i go to the store i need to remember to buy a plastic measuring cup so we don't have any glass breaking episodes. it makes me a little nervous watching her pour liquids into the bowl with the glass one. i love baking with pres~ and watching her face light up when she gets to help is always worth all the mess.

chillin with my peeps

the happiest boy on earth!! he loves hanging out with hannah and john. this is a photo john took while i was giving presley a bath. babies are so cute when they get to that stage where they start smiling and not just from gas. i try to look at this picture whenever he starts screaming or crying from a poopy diaper or b/c he is hungry (which is all the time). so, i weighed my little man this morning on my scale and it said he was 15 lb! 15 lbs! is that a record? how can a 7 week old weigh 15 lbs? will i be on montel one day as the mother of one of the biggest babies in america?

i know you can't see presley's face in this photo but i just love the angle. she is my little miss sunshine. even during tough days she can still be the sweetest little girl who melts my heart. she has gotten so big so fast and i love having her tell me everything and talk my ear off but i also miss the days of when she was just learning to walk and would still let me rock her to sleep. my little miss sunshine is my dream come true:)

playing around with the photo booth on my mac (which i love) i took this photo of me and the d~man while we were waiting for presley to wake up. i know it's a little dark but we were just hanging out. he loves hanging out with me. he loves it when it's just the 2 of us, then again, don't most men love it when they have all of your attention? ha ha.

too freakin hot in january

we just got back from a great walk around the block with michele and sophia. davis did very well~ michele and i turned him around in the baby bjorn (God's gift to mom's backs) and he loved it!! didn't cry the whole time. even though we were both sweating by the time we crossed the street we still enjoyed our time. we ran into the "neighborhood" dog (i say that b/c his parents let him roam the neighborhood whenever he wants). and although he is a great dog ~ aside from being really big and stinky~ he drives my dogs nuts at the front door and other dogs walking in the neighborhood that don't have very good manners (mostly mine). he walked around the block with us and when we brought him home his parents didn't even know he was gone. oh well, presley loves him and that's all that matters. 

i know i have said it before but i will never get use to having such warm weather in the "winter" in florida. it's just not right when i am able to wear flip flops and a tank top in january. it's not natural. also, i learned that when shorts and capri pants come out in the spring and summer to buy the next 2 sizes up because it is so warm all year round and yet the stores still sell their winter garments only during this unseasonably warm time of year. that way, presley and davis won't be sweating next year when i am putting them in jeans and pants because that is the only thing they have to wear. anyway, the only other down side i can think of is that if you wear flip flops all year round your feet won't fit into other shoes like they use to. (didn't know that) now i am buying a size shoe up (at least i get to buy some new shoes) so i can wear something besides the flops. but i do love my flops.

thought i would share some of the 387 photos brian has taken over the past month. there are lots more to come but this is all i had time to upload for now. everyone is doing well so far. we had a great new year's eve with everyone sleeping in until 11. well, really just presley but that was a great start i think. 

the pic above is presley and davis hanging out at brian's mom's house. she loves to point out his nose, eyes, ears, hair~ you name it. poor guy, he is constantly getting poked in the face while  presley shows off her knowledge of anatomy. don't worry though because he is not the only victim.

my friend kerin will love this photo because she gave presley a chocolate spoon to lick. (not that i never give her candy or sugar but well, presley just does better without it) i need to put up photo's of her running in circles after this. thanks kerin:)

here is presley in her awesome playhouse that mimi sent for christmas but i had brian put up before thanksgiving so i could have her something new to play with when the baby came home.  she loves it. thanks mimi!
